"LOOK - THERE'S SOMEONE ON OUR BEACH!"
This comment from a collection of recorded memories of Old Cornwall recalls a time when local people regarded Towan Beach as their own playground, a place where very few others would be seen - and few of them were visitors!.

The lady quoted was Dorothy Wood, 97 years old when former BBC man Chris Blount added her to his vast library of recordings in the 1980s. . . .
