With the assistance of the Newquay Old Cornwall Society (NOCS), Newquay has a new Discovery Trail. The trail is made up of 14 discs sunk into the ground at strategic points around the town. Each of the 1 metre diameter discs of Cornish slate has carved into it, by sculptor Peter Martin, a series of 'conundrum' words. Visitors and locals alike are encouraged to pick up a trail guide and learn more about the town's fascinating past. NOCS where involved from the start when they where approached with the idea and asked to provide the words and text for the project. (April 2002)
